Tokyo Jihen, fronted by singer
Sheena Ringo, have announced that they are to disband following their concert at Nippon Budoukan on February 29th.
Tokyo Jihen have stated that they had a lot of good times together as a band, but that ultimately the decision has been made to discontinue activities. The band thanks their fans for their support over the last seven years and hope to continue receiving this support until the end. Each member has left their own message regarding this decision on

Tokyo Jihen still have some releases lined up before their disbandment. First, they will release the mini-album
color bars on January 18th. On February 15th they will release the live DVD and Blu-ray
Discovery, featuring footage from the band's
DISCOVERY tour. On the same day they will also release the live best-of album
Tokyo Collection, which features the band's best live tracks from throughout their performance career.
The band will say goodbye with the tour
Tokyo Jihen live tour 2012 Domestique Bon Voyage in February. The concerts which make up this tour will take place on February 14th and 15th at Yokohama ARENA, on the 21st and 22nd at Osaka-jo Hall, and on the 28th and 29th at Nippon Budokan.
