Boris Announce New Album and North American Tour

Rock band Boris will release a new album on August 12th.

Heavy Rocks (2022) is the third in a series of albums titled "Heavy Rocks" that they have been releasing in roughly ten-year intervals. It will contain 10 songs, and it will be available from American label Relapse Records on CD, cassette tape and vinyl, as well as digitally. Physical pre-orders are available here, and links to pre-order and pre-save the release on various digital stores and streaming platforms are available here.  

This will be Boris's second album of 2022, a year that marks the 30th anniversary of the band's formation. It follows January's W, which was a companion piece to 2020's NO.

The band shared an English comment about Heavy Rocks (2022) on their official website:

“The world has changed over the last two years. Everyone’s thinking is simpler and pragmatic. Now, it is easier for everyone to grasp what is important to each of us.

We leave it to the future and pass it on. The soul of rock music is constantly evolving. A soul that transcends words and meaning to reach you – instinct, intuition, and fangs.

This is the heavy rock of Boris now.

As we land on our 30th anniversary, Boris continues to evolve, accelerating the latest and universal.

We just keep showing this attitude.”

In addition, Boris will be embarking on a tour of North America with Philadelphia’s NOTHING this summer. The tour will kick off in Phoenix, Arizona on August 19th, and it will wrap up in Mexico City, Mexico on September 24th. It will see the band hit a few festivals, including Psycho Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 20th and the Post. Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 9th.
