YOSHIKI Composes Golden Globes Theme

YOSHIKI has composed the theme tune for this year's Golden Globe Awards

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has revealed that the theme for this year’s Golden Globe Awards has been composed by multi-instrumentalist and leader of X JAPAN, YOSHIKI.

YOSHIKI attended the awards ceremony for the first time last year and said of this project: "The Golden Globe Awards are extremely prestigious, but the show is also edgy. I’m a classical pianist and a rock drummer, so it was natural to create something beautiful that also has an edge."

This will be the 69th edition of the Golden Globe Awards. It will be held on January 15th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and will be hosted by British comedian Ricky Gervais. The ceremony will be aired in America on NBC, and both the pre-show and the main telecast will be shown. The awards show will be aired from 4pm-5pm PST / 7pm-8pm EST, while the main ceremony will follow immediately afterwards, finishing at 8pm PST / 11pm EST.
