Formed in 2004, mothercoat have been based in Fukaya since 2012, from where they've built a significant international following. They regularly tour across the UK, USA and Canada, and have played several showcase gigs at festivals such as SXSW and RockNess.

mothercoat's experimental music is described as "progressive, lo-fi indie pop warped by electronic, jazz, Radiohead and math rock". They are best experienced as a live band.
