ANCHANG

Anchang's solo career started soon after the breakup of SEX MACHINEGUNS. His first solo release was the single Katare! Namida! which went on sale in December 2003. The single was well received, as was the promotional tour which followed. It was announced during the tour that a new solo album would soon follow, and the promise was kept as January 2004 saw the release of The Maintenance. Both CDs were released under the moniker of "Lone Sex Machine Gun" rather than the name Anchang.

It was only a short while after his solo debut that Sex Machineguns reunited, and Anchang's solo career was put on hold for a while. In 2006, SEX MACHINEGUNS broke up once again, and all of the members except for Anchang went on to form the short-lived band Elleguns before a number of the former members reformed into another band, Cycle.

Anchang himself wasn't one to remain stagnant, and he relaunched his solo career with the release of the single Cobratwist in January 2007. Shortly after, his second full album Memphis went on sale. Both releases were under his name rather than his "Lone Sex Machinegun" identity. Later that year, he collaborated with the rock band Canta on the single Ryusei to Haru no Arashi.

The fifth incarnation of SEX MACHINEGUNS came as little surprise when it was announced that Anchang was preparing auditions for new members. The resurrected band released a series of monthly download-only singles before the release of their album Cameron in October.

More news followed in the summer of 2008 as Anchang announced he would be forming a new band called BIG BITES, in which he would be lead singer and guitarist. Other members included NATCHIN (ex-SIAM SHADE) and ANNIE (ex-THE YELLOW MONKEY) on bass and drums respectively. Their first mini-album Leopard is due to be released early in April 2009 and will be followed by a set of concert performances in the same month.
