PE'Z New Live DVD and Album

This 'Samurai Jazz Band' who are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, continue with their avalanche of releases. After having released a best-of album in February this year, and having a special tribute album titled Not Jazz!! But Pe'z!!! - 10th Anniversary Tribute To Pe'z with bands like Special Others, →Pia-no-jaC← and quasimode participating to commemorate their anniversary, PE'Z has just recently announced the release dates of a new live DVD and a new album.

The DVD PE'Z Realive ~Kurofune no Jazz~ @2008.6.2. DUO MUSIC EXCHANGE will be available on January 13th. This DVD will include footage of the band's performance held at Shibuya Duo MUSIC EXCHANGE on June 2nd in 2008 during the PE'Z REALIVE TOUR 2008 ~ NOT JAZZ!! BUT PE'Z!! IT IS PE'ZZ! ! ~ show. This event was exceptional as it was related to the exclusive cover album, Kurofune no Jazz-SAMURAI MEETS THE ENEMY-, which featured covers of famous jazz songs in honour of the Village Vanguard Jazz Club of New York where great jazz artists used to perform. Among the 19 tracks included in the DVD are the band's own hits as well as covers of perennial jazz hits such as like Milestones (Miles Davis), Soul Bossa Nova (Quincy D Jones) and Freedom Jazz Dance (Eddie Harris).

On February 3rd, a new album called 1, 2, Max is due to hit stores and it will contain eight songs. Further details are not available yet but are expected to be announced shortly.
