Debut Album from Koki Nakamura

Shamisenist and folk singer Koki Nakamura will release his first full-length album on May 22nd.

TamiUta will contain twelve tracks: four of Nakamura's own instrumental compositions; renditions of six folk songs; an original song written by pianist Takeshi Senoo; and a cover of rock band Stardust Revue's 1993 song Mokuren no namida.

Hailing from a family of “min’yo” folk singers, Nakamura established a reputation as something of a shamisen prodigy in his childhood on the national competition circuit. He made his major label debut via Nippon Columbia with the digital EP Ayumi in April 2023.
