YOSHIKI EZAKI Releases New Song Featuring Aile The Shota

Hip-hop artist YOSHIKI EZAKI released a new song featuring a guest appearance from singer-songwriter Aile The Shota on February 16th.

Titled Trash Box, the song is EZAKI's second single of 2024, following January's Asa no hoshi. The track is said to convey the feelings of a 22 year-old, capturing the way that people who escape the confusion of their teenage years and head out into society as adults can suddenly develop the desire to throw everything away and return to their youth.

In a comment about the release, EZAKI stated that the song also reflects the desire to throw everything away that results from living in a complex era where people consume information passively through SNS and are often exposed to news they don’t want and negativity while struggling to maintain real personal relationships.

The music video for Trash Box was directed by Ryo Ichikawa (koe Inc.). It’s said to have a nostalgic atmosphere, with a mix of nature and city scenes.
