Aile The Shota is a singer-songwriter signed to SKY-HI’s management company/label BMSG. He made his debut with the single AURORA TOKIO in January 2022.

While he had released some music as an independent artist beforehand, Shota got his break after participating in BMSG’s boy group audition show “THE FIRST”. A well-rounded entertainer who can sing, dance and write his own music, Shota impressed throughout the competition with his gentle singing voice, stage presence and creativity. He reached the final round of the competition, but was offered a solo contract instead of a place in the boy group BE:FIRST.

Since his debut, Shota has continued to polish his individual style, releasing music drawing on genres such as R&B, hip-hop and classic J-pop and filters it through his unique aesthetic. He has also been keeping busy as a songwriter for other artists, helping to pen songs for SKY-HI and BE:FIRST.

His stage name combines his real first name Shota with the Greek river of oblivion “Lethe”, the Japanese word “Ai” (love) and the French word “Aile”, meaning wings and family, symbolizing his artistic and personal journey as a river spreading love, kindness, and gratitude with his music.
