New Album from Mari Hamada

Rock singer Mari Hamada will release a new album on April 19th.

Soar will contain elevens tracks, including the pre-release digital single Tomorrow Never Dies. It is the singer’s 24th album overall, and will be released two days before the 40th anniversary of Hamada's 1983 debut album, Lunatic Doll.

Soar will feature appearances by LOUDNESS guitarist Akira Takasaki, DIMENSION guitarist Takashi Masuzaki, Kari BAND bassist BOH, ALHAMBRA drummer Hideki Harasawa, keyboardist Masafumi Nakao, and both members of instrumental duo soLi: guitarist ISAO and violinist Saori Hoshino.

Elsewhere, late last year, Victor Entertainment uploaded a selection of Hamada's early music videos to its YouTube channel. Watch MVs for Black Hole (from 1983's Lunatic Doll) and her 1989 signature song Return to Myself below.
