Singer and cosplayer Liyuu will release a new concept mini-album on February 22nd, and the music video for the JUVENILE and TeddyLoid-composed lead track is available on YouTube now.
Singer and cosplayer Liyuu will release a new concept mini-album titled koii on February 22nd.
Recently, she unveiled the music video for the lead track from the release, OPEN UP!. The song was composed and arranged by JUVENILE and TeddyLoid, with the theme of “let’s all fall in love”.
In addition, Liyuu has announced she will also be making a music video for Yellow, another song from the mini-album. It’s said to explore the theme of falling in love with a childhood friend, and the music video will feature Nagisa Aoyama,
a fellow member of the school idol group Liella in “Love Live! Superstar!!”.
The mini-album will be available in two editions, each featuring five tracks. The limited edition will come with a Blu-ray disc featuring the music video for OPEN UP! and making-of footage. The regular edition will be CD-only.
Hailing from Shanghai, China, Liyuu built up a strong following on social media as a cosplayer. In January 2020, she made her debut as an artist with Magic Words, the opening theme song for the TV anime “Hatena Illusion”. In February
2022, she released her first album Fo(u)r YuU and performed her first solo concert at Pacifico Yokohama National Grand Hall. She also brings the character Keke Tang to life as a member of the school idol group Liella in
"Love Live! Superstar!!".
