J-Music & Fashion Panels Featuring Virtual Guests Announced for Otakon

It was recently announced that Chaotic Harmony Imports & Events will be hosting a few J-music and fashion panels at Washington, DC convention Otakon this year, with special guests participating remotely from Japan via live stream.

These will include panels on fashion and alternative idols with singer, fashion designer and idol producer Senanan; J-rock with INITIAL'L; and visual kei with LANTANA.

A designer and DJ, Senanan now designs for her brands XRN (pronounced Heren), sister brand of KRY clothing, and QissQill. She also produces the idol group RIPLIE. Senanan was also part of Strawberry Syndrome, a unit featuring Rinahamu, formerly of BiS and CY8ER.

INITIAL’L (formerly visual kei band Lycaon) is a four-person rock band with Yu-ki on vocals, Satoshi and ZERO on guitar, and Ichiro on drums. In 2019, they made their US debut at Katsucon in National Harbor, Maryland.

LANTANA is a loud rock visual kei band that was formed in 2015. In February 2019, LANTANA also made their international debut at Katsucon for the event's 25th anniversary. That September, LANTANA released three singles internationally with the help of German label Gan-Shin Records.

Chaotic Harmony will also be operating a booth in the dealer's hall stocked with fashion items from brands such as HELL CAT PUNKS and XRN, as well as various pieces of visual kei, J-rock and alt-idol merchandise. A sample of the items they offer can be found here.

Otakon will be taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from August 6th to 8th. Details on admission and other events and guests that will be on offer are available on the convention's official website.
