Folk duo Hirakawachi 1-chome released their first new album in 13 years, Toki no Gradation, exclusively via their official webshop on April 27th. The album will become available in stores nationwide and internationally via websites such as CDJapan on June 6th.

The album is the duo's first original studio release since they announced they would formally restart activities in December 2019, and their fourth album overall. Hirakawachi 1-chome originally reunited just for a short tour commemorating the 10th anniversary of their disbandment in summer 2018. They released a live DVD documenting the final date of this tour titled 2018.9.3 Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO that December.

Due to the effects of the COVID-19 crisis, Hirakawachi 1-chome are planning to live stream an audience-free concert via YouTube on May 22nd to promote the new album. Fans can keep an eye on the duo's official Twitter account for more updates regarding the exact timing of the stream and the URL.
