It was announced recently that GLAY frontman TERU and bassist JIRO will be making an appearance at Venice Carnival 2019 (or Carnevale di Venezia).

This performance comes as a result of a declaration TERU made during a concert commemorating the 20th anniversary of GLAY's fanclub HAPPY SWING in 2016. TERU stated that one of his goals was for the band to celebrate its 30th anniversary, which will take place in 2026, at St. Mark's Square in Venice. To start putting the wheels in motion for that to happen, TERU performed a solo acoustic set at the same event in 2017 and he brought guitarist TAKURO along with him for a second performance in 2018.

For this third appearance, he and JIRO will be joined by local musicians on strings and piano, as well as DJ Mass. This year's installment of the event is already in progress. It began on February 16th and it will stretch until March 5th. TERU and JIRO are scheduled to perform at 2:30 pm on March 4th. Keep your eye on Venice Carnival's official website and GLAY's social media accounts for more details.
