Former
KAT-TUN member and ex-
INKT frontman
KOKI TANAKA has announced that he will release his debut solo album on January 23rd.
Titled
Easter, the album will feature 12 tracks.
TANAKA wrote all of the lyrics, and the songs were composed by various friends of his, including
Yussan from
Pulse Factory,
YOUSAY (a support guitarist for artists such as
ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D and
SHIN),
Shintaro Naito and
Agitato frontman
SHINGOMAN.
This release comes approximately one year after
TANAKA restarted activities as a solo artist under the name
KOKI and just under two years after his arrest for marijuana possession led to the disbandment of
INKT. The title represents his goal for this release to mark the start of his comeback.
In addition,
TANAKA has announced that he will hold a 26-date nationwide tour to support the release. The tour will kick off on February 2nd at shibuya eggman, and it will wrap up at Chiba's KASHIWA PALOOZA on April 6th.
