V6 to Perform New "One Piece" Opening Theme

V6 have been chosen to record the next opening theme for the anime series "One Piece".

The song will be titled Super Powers, and it will air for the first time on October 7th, opening the 856th episode of the anime.

This new opening song succeeds Hope by Amuro Namie, which has accompanied Luffy and his friends since episode 807. "One Piece" is particularly notable for holding onto its opening themes longer than the typical anime, and it has had no regular ending theme since episode 279.

The last time a V6 song was used as an anime opening was in 2015, when BREAK OUT was used as the theme for "Fairy Tail".
