GLAY will release a new single titled
DEATHTOPIA on August 3rd.
The title track, which was composed by guitarist
HISASHI, is the first theme song for the anime series "Kuromukuro".
HISASHI also wrote the theme for the anime's second season,
Chouonsoku Destiny, which will be the second track on the single.
In addition, the single will include live recordings of six older songs that
HISASHI composed for
GLAY:
JUSTICE [from] GUILTY,
Binetsu A girl Summer,
Kuroku mamire!,
everKrack,
coyote,colored darkness and
WORLD'S END.
The single will be available in two editions. The limited edition will come with a bonus DVD featuring a special episode of "RX-72 ~HISASHI (GLAY) vs Mogi Junichi", music videos and making-of footage for both of the new songs, as well as live versions of
DEATHTOPIA and
Kanojo wa Zombie from
GLAY HIGHCOMMUNICATIONS TOUR 2016 “Supernova”. The regular edition will be CD-only.
GLAY have also announced that their label loversoul music & associates has changed its name to "LSG". A message from
TAKURO on the label's new
official website states that they wish to use this opportunity to make a fresh start, get back to their original goal of bringing music to the fans in a more sincere, direct way and take on new challenges.
