Pop rock band GLAY will release a new single on January 27th.
G4 IV, like all the other releases in their G4 series, will include one song composed by each of the four band members. The first track, Kanojo wa Zombie, was written by HISASHI and it is said to be a digital rock track featuring unique, comical lyrics.
Scoop is described as a punk rock track that will remind listeners of GLAY's earlier works. It was composed by JIRO, with lyrics by TAKURO, and it features a guest performance by The Birthday drummer Kuhara Kazuyuki.
TAKURO's main contribution is the third song, Supernova Express 2016. A melodic pop rock track, it will be used as the image song for the Hokkaido Shinkansen, which is scheduled to open its first section this March.
Vocalist TERU composed the last track, Sora ga aozora de aru tame ni, which is currently being used as the opening theme of the anime series "Ace of Diamond - SECOND SEASON". It is the third opening theme in a row the band has contributed to the franchise, following Hashire! Mirai and HEROES, which were both also composed by TERU.
The single will be available in CD+DVD and CD-only editions. The bonus disc included with the CD+DVD edition will feature music videos for all four tracks.
