2015 has been a bit of a rough year for the Osaka-based pop punk band POT. In November 2014, shortly after the release of their first full-length album ARCO IRIS, the group was reduced to a trio when Yoshikun, one of their three frontmen, suddenly fell ill. The remaining members have been performing with a support guitarist for most of this year, but they made it clear that there was still a gap left in the band by using an alpaca as a stand-in for Yoshikun in their photos and on the cover of the single JODEL.
This summer, POT began a "conceptual tour" called Yoshikun fukkatsu saseyou Z Tour where, in an homage to "Dragon Ball Z", they gathered seven stuffed alpacas to wish for their friend's return. On November 14th, the final date of the tour, Yoshikun was finally able to rejoin them on stage.
A quartet once again, POT have announced that they will release their first mini-album, MISH MASH, on January 13th. It will feature eight tracks.
