Indie art rock band KAO=S has launched a crowdfunding campaign for their new album on Indiegogo. The campaign will run till July 31st this year, with a goal of USD 2,000.
During the recent live in Japan where the crowdfunding campaign was first announced, KAO=S' guitarist/vocalist Shuji Yamagiri said, "Many music companies outside of Japan have reached out to us asking us to perform. We would love to take everyone up on their offers and start bringing KAO=S overseas, but to do that we need to put out a new album to coincide with an overseas tour. You could help us to make an album that lets us showcase our unique Japanese sound and spread our music and Japanese culture to other countries. We don't want to miss this chance - we need your help to release our album and take KAO=S to the world."
A selection of fixed funding amount options with perks on Indiegogo are available: USD 30, USD 200, USD 300, USD 500 and USD 700. Supporters who choose any of the fixed funding amount options will receive two items in common, which is a digital copy of all the songs on the album and a special cover of Led Zeppelin's No Quarter. More perks are given for the higher tier fixed funding amount options.
