New Album from Ziyoou-vachi

After an interval of three years, glam rock band Ziyoou-vachi's fourth album Kirei will be released in two different types on March 25th.

The album has ten songs, including not only their latest single Venus, but also Ikki uchi ("single combat") and Kinkyū jitai ("emergency"), which were available at their merchandise table at live venues after their return. The limited edition comes with a cardboard sleeve, including a video titled Zankoku ("cruel") on a bonus DVD, and a novel of the same name, which was written by vocalist Avu. The video is a 45-minute non-stop film of all ad-lib improvisational theatre and live performances of the songs on the album.

The jacket cover is also rather unique. Designed by Avu, it shows her smiling, but with purple smoke jetting from her eyes on a vivid yellow background.

Ziyoou-vachi have made a fresh start, and fans have more than just the new album to be excited for: the band also announced at their one-man concert on February 25th that they will embark on a tour of Japan titled Megami tachi no baishun ("prostitution of goddesses"). It will stretch from May 17th to June 27th, taking them through seven cities.
