Pay money To my Pain announced today that their vocalist
Goto Kei, known as
K, passed away on December 30th due to acute heart failure. He passed away in his home in Yokohama aged 31 years.
K had been poor physical condition for a long time. He was often hospitalized and suffered from mental health issues.
Pay money To my Pain paused activites towards the end of 2012 due to
K's health problems, but had been planning to resume activities this year. Unfortunately, these plans have been abandoned due to
K's untimely death.
The band members shared their thoughts in heartbreaking comments posted on their
official website and
Facebook page. They also apologized for not informing their fans earlier, because it was impossible to do so due to the judicial autopsy. A funeral ceremony will be held only for close family and friends in the next few days.
The band members have revealed that they would like to release an album containing the last few songs that
K recorded before his death, but have understandably given no further information about it at this time.
