BE:FIRST is a seven-member dance-vocal group that was born from “THE FIRST”, an audition show produced by rapper SKY-HI and his management company and label BMSG. Aiming to live up to the show’s tagline of “quality first, creative first, artisism (artistic expression) first” and SKY-HI’s goal of producing a Japanese boyband strong enough to stand on the world stage, the group’s members were selected not just for their performance skills, but also for their distinct personalities and passion for creating their own music, lyrics and choreography.
The group’s works are designed to accentuate the members’ individuality, highlighting elements such as SOTA’s world championship-level dancing, SHUNTO’s playful, relaxed onstage persona, JUNON’s high vocal range and RYOKI’s strong grasp of the English language.
BE:FIRST released their major debut single Gifted. in November 2021.

BE:FIRST member SOTA appeared as a dance instructor and choreographer at a two-day workshop held during New Zealand’s "I-DEVELOP Dance Camp" on January 20th and 21st.
