Cho_Nans is a dance-rock side project formed around flumpool bassist Genki Amakawa, LEGO BIG MORL guitarist Hiroki Tanaka and ex-HaKU frontman Yuki Tsujimura.
The band’s name means “first-born sons” in Japanese, and was chosen because the band members happened to notice that they and the other members of their respective bands are all the eldest sons in their families. Aiming to allow for maximum freedom of expression within this theme, the project was designed to include not just first-born son musicians, but also filmmakers, arrangers, engineers, designers, cameramen, and more.
amkw (Amakawa) is the group’s “director”, Tsujimura is in charge of composing their music while Tanaka writes their lyrics. KNDO is in charge of their video works and effects that set the mood during their live performances, Ito卍Ken is the sound arranger and engineer, and KO_MANTARO is said to handle behind-the-scenes management tasks.
