Shortly after rock band HaKU disbanded in 2016, their frontman Yuki Tsujimura decided to strike out on his own. While it still features his breathy, high-pitched singing, Tsujimura’s solo work veers away from the guitar-heavy style of HaKU, instead pursuing a more electronic/dance pop-oriented sound. As a solo performer, he is probably best known for the song Light, which was used as an ending theme for the anime series “Monster Strike”.
Tsujimura composes and produces all of his own music and, in recent years, has also been tasked with creating songs for many popular artists – most notably, several songs for Johnny’s boybands Hey! Say! JUMP and Sexy Zone, as well as the title track of Haruma Miura’s single Night Diver. He keeps busy with various other ventures, including a dance-rock unit he formed with members of flumpool and LEGO BIG MORL called Cho_Nans and an international collaboration project called KiUi.
