THURSDAY'S YOUTH

Following the departure of one of the popular indie rock band Suck a Stew Dry’s guitarists in December 2016, the four remaining members decided to make a fresh start rather than search for a replacement. They re-emerged in March 2017 as THURSDAY’S YOUTH.

As frontman Shinoyama Kosei is still their primary songwriter, THURSDAY’S YOUTH sound quite similar to Suck a Stew Dry, but with a return to the more melancholic tone the band had in its earlier years. Shinoyama’s straightforward lyrics deal with relatable topics like insecurities and frustration with society's expectations, while his gentle voice gives the songs a heartfelt appeal.
