SKULL

While they disbanded in 2011, the visual kei band SKULL gained popularity for their dynamic live performances and shifts of tempos, weight, and styles within individual songs. With a name like SKULL one might expect the band to be trapped in a hardcore mode that doesn't lighten up or diversify, but SKULL exhibited an impressively broad spectrum of sounds during their years together.

Successful in light soaring choruses, hardcore screaming and riffs, and even jazzy metalcore, SKULL defied categorical boundaries in a delightfully authentic way and demonstrated a talent for composing beautifully original melodies.
