RIP SLYME is a hip-hop group comprised of four MCs and DJ FUMIYA . They were noted as the first hip-hop act to perform at the prestigious Budokan and one of their concerts had sold out in less than five minutes. RIP SLYME is quite a bit more light hearted and fun than modern Western hip-hop, taking their influences instead from old-school hip-hop such as The Beastie Boys.

Their videos can often be a bit comical and DJ Fumiya's sense of humour was clear in his old profile pictures on the RIP SLYME official homepage, which included Tom Cruise and Macauley Culkin. The resulting RIP SLYME sound is a fun and addictive musical experience.
