ZONE have established as one of the most popular and internationally recognised girl groups that Japan has produced of recent years. Dubbed affectionately as bandol (a combination of the words band and idol merged together), ZONE have had a number of changes to their line-up since their formation in 1997, but luckily these changes did not affect their popularity,

Known for their experimentation within their field, ZONE mainly focused a vast majority of their work around a pop/rock sound, although they also incorporated the themes of hard rock and jazz into their compositions.
