Candy’s first professional attempt in music industry works out well.

Bye&Thanks

Candy

From her discovery in 2001 to the release of her debut single at the beginning of 2005, promising young soul talent Candy has come a long way. Bye&Thanks is the title of the work, and it's not only worth a try due to Candy’s impressing voice. The young woman also wrote all the lyrics of the songs herself, giving them a very personal flavor.

Bye&Thanks starts pretty quietly, but after a minute the “extend mix” really comes into play and it becomes a swinging, energetic piece of music where trumpets, a harp and many other instruments add a nostalgic touch. Moreover, Candy surprises with an extraordinary range of vocals. The second track on the CD is accompanied once more by the Royal Mirrorball Orchestra, and it is not as fast as the previous song. PLASTIC LOVE is leisurely-paced with a strong bass and groove. In contrast to the “extend mix,” the radio edit of Bye&Thanks sparkles even more due to the fast Caribbean beat and the fact that it is two minutes shorter.

Absolutely obligatory are the instrumental counterparts of Bye&Thanks and PLASTIC LOVE. But that isn’t everything the CD has to offer! If you put the CD into a computer, you can enjoy a video message from Candy, a short music clip that totally consists of photos, and a web link to her official site.

Candy’s collaboration with Royal Mirrorball Orchestra and her own voice give the songs a lot of quality and elegance. Bye&Thanks is a successful debut and a real treasure for all fans of soul.
