AAA - CHOICE IS YOURS

A more precise a title couldn't have been used because the mini-album was released in three different types, so the choice really is yours. That only the boys of the band are on the cover isn’t a coincidence, either; only the boys of AAA were featured on this album.

It begins with the theme song for the Sega game “World Destruction” Crash. The song is mysterious, dynamic and somehow also threatening; it also has a catchy tune, and so does the following Hasta la vista with its dark tune. The track also shines through its monumental orchestral “Lord of the Rings” styled intro. More leisurely, with a fast and past and a nice groove, is ZAPPER, and it sets the first change in mood.

Crying Freeman has a more hip-hop feel, which draws attention to its leisurely-paced, deep bass and a beautiful acoustic guitar solo shortly before the end. The following track partly refers back to the album title with the lyrics; in addition, the song is very exciting and the rap and vocal parts, respectively, are well-balanced and fit quite well. In the end there is still a very cliché ballad with Akireru kurai wagamama na jiyuu, but the song has a nice quality.

Behind the dynamic title of the album hides a pretty entertaining album. Because the boys are singing alone, you’ll get the impression of listening to a completely different band. Furthermore, CHOICE IS YOURS is suitable for newcomers to AAA's music. Crash, Hasta la vista and BET are definitely the top three songs off this mini-album.
