Anna Tsuchiya - Kuroi namida

Anna Tsuchiya starts 2007 with the release of Kuroi namida, her fourth single.

After releasing the hit single Rose in 2006, which was used as a theme song for the anime adaptation of the hit manga series NANA, it was time for Anna Tsuchiya to release another single. In January 2007, Anna Tsuchiya released her fourth single, Kuroi namida.

Kuroi namida is used as the third ending theme song for NANA. The single contains four tracks, which include the ending theme, and two B-side songs. It also includes a DVD.

Starting off with Kuroi namida, the single begins with a beautiful guitar followed by the wonderful voice of Anna Tsuchiya. It's a perfectly balanced song, which has its soft moments and gets harder during the chorus. Her voice is beautiful and filled with a lot of emotion from beginning to end. Combined with the great guitar parts, it really is an amazing song which works perfectly as a theme song for NANA.

The second track on the single is JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH. Originally a Depeche Mode song, the cover by Anna Tsuchiya is used in a commercial for the Nissan March. The first thing you notice when you hear the song is that it is a bit different from Kuroi namida. It's a bit more pop/rock with a really catchy chorus. Overall, it isn't a very special song but it sounds great, it's catchy and her voice sounds amazing.

I'm addicted to you is the third song on the single, and it's a great rock song which was used as a character song in NANA. Again, Anna's voice sounds great, this time sounding more rock to fit with the song. It's another catchy song, probably because of the guitar riffs.

The last song on the single is a different version of Kuroi namida. Kuroi namida ~deep sadness version~ includes more instruments then the original. It starts with a piano solo, followed by the beautiful voice of Anna Tsuchiya. The beginning is a bit softer then the original version, but as soon as the chorus starts it sounds a bit harder. Even though it is the same song, it has a different vibe. It has more of a gothic sound to it. All the instruments come perfectly together.

Anna Tsuchiya shows everyone what a great vocalist she is with this single. If you are a NANA fan, you will really be satisfied with it, and if you are a fan of Anna Tsuchiya she will again manage to give you goosebumps with this great release.
