Uchusentai NOIZ Live Report

At 7 PM, the live house was crowded with cheerful fans who wore T-shirts and had towels draped around their necks. Then, as the venue went dark, images of the band members were projected on the wall with the words "Love & Peace & Miracle". Fans cheered wildly, expecting that the live would start.. Fans called "Hi! Hi!" like a storm and the members, wearing mostly black costumes with one additional color (S@TT-ON was yellow, KYO was blue, MASATO was orange, TAKEswiy was red and ANGEL-TAKA was pink), appeared on stage and struck their original poses one by one.

The live started with TERRA, the title song of their new album which was released on September 5th. The audience jumped to the quick dance rhythm. The upbeat BAD MUSIC FREAKS followed and fans pumped their fists, shouting "Oi! Oi!" MASATO yelled and rapped with ANGEL-TAKA, then the music suddenly went into an extremely bright main melody. In Merry-Go-Round, ANGEL-TAKA, TAKEswiy, KYO and MASATO came down to the front of the stage and stirred up the audience in a sea of flashing lights.

"We are five soldiers coming from far away space. Tonight, we came to Kanazawa AZ HALL! Here we are, Uchuseitai NOIZ!" announced ANGEL-TAKA to the cheering of fans. He talked about oysters, which members ate in Kanazawa, and then FROM SKYWALKER started with the shout of "Oyster!" which was to be the catch phrase of the night. As electric sounds, rap vocals and heavy instrumental sounds were mixed, fans waved their hands and head banged all together to the music. The stage was foggy with white smoke and several spotlights shone on ANGEL-TAKA, which created a mysterious mood. In the following ORANGE GRADATION, ANGEL-TAKA sang and moved enthusiastically in orange light, and his firm body shone with his sweat, which looked really sexy. The tune and tempo often changed rapidly, but fans danced together and head banged to the music. Their positive bright message filled the venue.

"Let’s heat this place up even more!" ANGEL-TAKA shouted. Then he and MASATO joined their voices together. The venue heated up and fans were dancing around and bumping against each other. Members asked fans to clap and Vista started. While people called "Vista! Oh!" continuously, members stood in the center one by one and took turns at vocals in greeting. Fans and members called and responded and the live reached its peak. Here, ANGEL-TAKA transformed himself into a huge pink dog and appeared on stage with his 'servant' Sebastian, who looked like a Hard Gay servant, in tow. While swaying his hips, he sang Muscle Dog Trial Product “001”, which was really funny. Fans enjoyed dancing and spun in circles throughout the song.

S@TT-ON, who was on the left side of the stage, had a yellow pompom, and used it while making jokes and talking to the audience. The hall was full of laughter, and then he played a powerful drum solo. Then, to the SE of Bruce Lee's theme song, ANGEL-TAKA appeared on stage with nun chucks, and he did a performance with them. He worked hard at it but it still seemed a little bit funny. In Ichigeki Hissatsu PoPs, which featured double vocals with MASATO, fans called "Ichigeki Hissatsu!" all together. In Battle Capsule kara Ai wo komete, fans called "Oi! Oi!" and jumped together, which shook the venue like a small earthquake. MASATO had his guitar again and an upbeat heavy number B.B.B.(Beauty Beast Burst) started. ANGEL-TAKA stirred the audience and made them heat up more and more, and then the live reached its climax.

The venue went dark and fans took a break. However, ANGEL-TAKA used what he called his 'sexy beam', a certain gaze of his, and looked at the fans, 'piercing' their hearts and winning them over. The live started again with CHROMOSOME SIX and the venue became like a festival again. The members raised their hands and asked the audience to clap, then Thank you for the MUSIC started. Both members on the stage and fans on the floor danced around to the music which changed its melodies and rhythms rapidly. In the last song, HARDROMANTICCERS, fans took their pink towels and twirled them around like propellers all at once. All of their faces shone with sweat, smiles, and with hope, love and peace hand in hand, the message of Uchusentai NOIZ spread over the venue through their bright melodies. When the ending SE finally started, members struck their poses once more under flashing lights and left the stage one by one.

ANGEL-TAKA returned to the stage to answer a call of encore and announced their DVD release on December 5th. The encore started with Everything for my love, which is a song about the relationship between the members of the band and the fans. They played MIRACLE☆ROCKET G5 and two unexpected songs: SPACEPIRATES(ch77.7)#2 and Typ;N. With that, the live reached a climax once again and the energy kept running high to the end at the night.

It is difficult not to like Uchusentai NOIZ, as their heavy metal mixed with pop, bright melodies and ever changing tempo has something for everyone. Fans enjoyed using the various dance moves to the songs, and instead of feeling tired afterwards they seemed to be refreshed, almost like they had enjoyed some kind of sport. The cheerful MCs, various acts and interesting effects on stage packed into the live made it almost like a toy box; it was a really fun and entertaining show.
