ROAD OF MAJOR - Shinai Naru Anata e

ROAD OF MAJOR's 3rd major single.

Considered a Melo-Core band, ROAD OF MAJOR has been active since 2002 and went major in 2004. A combination of upbeat and soft rock with strong vocals and skilled playing make listening to this band an enjoyable new experience.

Shinai Naru Anata e, the title track on their 3rd major single release, is a mellow track with a pleasant melody. Steady drumming, courtesy of Aikane Uehara, provides a bit more power to this low-tempo tune and soft guitar playing that almost rests in the background contributes another layer of sound. Vocalist Kenichi Kitagawa has a strong voice, which is showcased well in this song. A nice opening for the single, Shinai Naru Anata e presents a mix of the band’s trademark sounds.

The next song, apasionado, serves as an instrumental filler. A short track featuring an almost Spanish sounding acoustic guitar solo, it doesn’t add a lot to the single as a whole, but is still pleasant to listen to.

The closing track, Kaze ka, gives the listener a taste of the band’s upbeat side. With Nobumasa Konda’s driving guitar riffs and bright, feel-good vocals, this song is even more enjoyabled after the slower title track. A steady bass rhythm from Kenichi Matsumoto keeps the track going at a perfect pace that will make the listener want to get up and move.

With the release of this single ROAD OF MAJOR has given the listener a sample of both the mellow side of their sound as well as the rock side. With straightforward melodies, great vocals, and little embellishment on these solid tracks, this is a fine example of what ROAD OF MAJOR is known for.
