The Makuhari Messe Event Hall transformed into a futuristic Neo Tokyo on September 9th as fans eagerly awaited HYDE's arrival. A countdown video and clips from past performances created an electrifying atmosphere.
HYDE made a mysterious entrance, decked out in a hooded coat and mask. As the clock struck 17:06, he teased the crowd with a call of "Are you ready, Makuhari?" Red lights and spotlights danced around the audience as DEFEAT opened
the night.
The transition to AFTER LIGHT unveiled HYDE's black suit and captivating stage presence. The intensity escalated with PANDORA, which was accompanied by sirens and an alert feeling.
One of his new singles, TAKING THEM DOWN, had him singing through a megaphone, engaging the crowd further. Dystopian visuals and smoke set the stage for SICK, and the audience couldn't resist headbanging. Next was WHO'S GONNA SAVE US, where
the stage lit up with torches as HYDE sang lying on the floor. After such excitement, the touching piano solo announcing THE ABYSS added a moment of calm as the beautiful lyrics entranced the fans.
HYDE's tattoo display during ON MY OWN was met with cheers as he walked around the stage. He expressed gratitude during an MC break, reflecting on the tour's significance. Searchlights filled the venue for MAD QUALIA,
with crowd interaction and smoke jets adding to the excitement. DEVIL SIDE brought disco vibes and fireballs.
INTERPLAY had fans clapping and engaging with HYDE, while GLAMOROUS SKY featured impressive guitar playing and close interaction with the audience. The recently released 6or9 continued the fun, featuring some playful moments with the bassist of the backing band.
MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION II added purple craziness and splashes of water to the mix, ending with HYDE soaking wet near the glowing neon paint on the drum kit.
The encore began with red smoke and dynamite, and LET IT OUT featured HYDE's unique procession through the crowd.
HYDE stood on the drums for AHEAD, surrounded by smoke and plenty of energy. BLOODSUCKERS brought inflatable red air dancers and a shirtless HYDE soaking himself in water.
The new song I GOTTA 666 showcased a mischievous energy, with HYDE lying on the floor and laughter filling the stage. A heartfelt MC moment preceded the final songs.
HIDEAWAY surprised the fans, as this song hasn’t been played live in years. This song, as well as others from the album 666, are ideal for showcasing HYDE's talent on the guitar. The concert concluded on a high note with
SEX BLOOD ROCK N'ROLL, a song from his former band VAMPS, which left the audience exhilarated and took the last drops of energy fans had left.
This unforgettable night in Neo Tokyo showcased HYDE's remarkable talent, charisma, and deep connection with fans, making it an unforgettable way to end the 2023 tour.
