PINKY DOODLE POODLE is a high energy, female fronted rock band formed in 2008. Having recently done tours of Japan, Europe and a few select dates around the New York area in 2012, the band is now concentrating their efforts on US markets and fans around North America. PINKY DOODLE POODLE will be a featured performer at the J-POP SUMMIT Festival in San Francisco on July 20th. Ahead of their gig at the festival this weekend, PINKY DOODLE POODLE gives JaME a peek into their world via an interview.

What are your thoughts on your upcoming performance at the J-POP SUMMIT Festival?

PINKY DOODLE POODLE: We are so excited! We are looking forward to seeing a lot of people.

Are there any messages you wish to convey to listeners through the songs on your latest album?

PINKY DOODLE POODLE: Yuria sings in Japanese, and we don’t have love songs or political messages. All our lyrics have a positive message for life.

You performed at the WATER FESTIVAL 2014 in Myanmar. How did you get the opportunity to perform there and how was the experience like?

PINKY DOODLE POODLE: We have some Myanma friends. They created this opportunity for us. All the gigs were held outside, and it was so hot, but it was still really great. This has been our best tour experience so far this year.

How did you meet Robby Takac, and what has working with him been like?

PINKY DOODLE POODLE: Robby mailed us. It was very simple. That’s how is all started. He understood what we wanted to do, so it was easy working with him. He always set a nice mood. We consider it a privilege to have worked with Robby.

If you had the opportunity to collaborate with another artist on a future release, who would you pick and why?

PINKY DOODLE POODLE: AC/DC! Because we are big fans of that band.

What inspires you when creating music?

PINKY DOODLE POODLE: Good guitar, bass sound and rhythm always inspire us.

Tell us an interesting fact about your bandmate.

George: Yuria is a vegetarian and doesn’t like to use chemical goods.
Yuria: George likes Myanma cuisine but sometimes gets stomach ache.

What do you hope to achieve as PINKY DOODLE POODLE?

PINKY DOODLE POODLE: We hope that people all over the world enjoy our music. We would like to do gigs worldwide and appear at world-famous festivals.

Please leave a message for your fans.

PINKY DOODLE POODLE: Please enjoy our first full-length album PINKY DOODLE POODLE. Some people may imagine we have a cute image, because of our band name and Yuria’s voice, but we are a high-energy rock band. Please come to our concerts, and you can see what we really are. See you there.
