GREMLINS

Duo GREMLINS is the brainchild of Hitsugi (NIGHTMARE) and KENZO (ex-AYABIE)'s side project, formed in October 2013. The news of GREMLINS shot out of nowhere. It was only three months after a revival for AYABIE and drummer at the time; KENZO had decided to leave the group after a final live at Shinjuku BLAZE on July 5th, 2013. No more than an additional three months had passed when KENZO joined NIGHTMARE’s Hitsugi to form a new musical direction together.

After joining Timely Records, the two shortened their names to Hits and KNZ respectively. GREMLINS debuted with a maxi-single, the Carnival, in two types in late-October 2013. The release had a Gothic circus theme to its artwork and music video and garnered attention from many NIGHTMARE fans as well as some new ones.

It will be rewarding to see what GREMLINS will bring musically in the coming months, or even years. The two have a second maxi-single planned for March 5th, 2014, and fans both new and old can certainly expect GREMLINS to entertain.
