nobodyknows+ was formed in 1999 in Nagoya, frequently meeting in a venue where DJ MITSU performed alone. Even though the band had recorded their songs before, it officially debuted in February 2003 with nobody knows 3, soon signing onto Sony. A few months later in August, a new maxi-single hit the stores.

In 2004 the band accomplished a big feat: ts song Odoru kokoro was used as the second opening for the anime series "SD Gundam Force." In June, the band's first full-length album Do You Know? was released, and the album quickly climbed to number one on the Oricon charts.

The following year was full of new releases. In January, nobodyknows+ began with Shiawase nara te o tatakou/T.R.U.E. The single's A track was subsequently used in the Japanese version of "Kung Fu Hustle." In April, the band released the maxi-single Maebe and a DVD recorded on last tour. In July the new single El Mirador~Tenboudai no uta~ came out. By the fall, the band took part in NAGOYA MUSIC EXPO, an event which was meant to spread the word about local musicians. The first part of this event was devoted to many genres of music, while the second part was for hip-hop only. Each performance was seen by almost 10,000 people. In October, another nobodyknows+ single, Dou yo?, was released and the band wrapped up the year with the album 5MC&1DJ.

In 2006 group began its tour throughout Japan: musicians performed since February to July visiting all 47 prefectures. Till that moment no other hip-hop group had ever performed in such manner, so it was a great achievement for nobodyknows+. Its review came out in November - DVD nobodyknows+ tour 2006 ''5MC&1DJ'' ~Kuribo no menkui dochu hizakurige~ and was released again one year later on Blu-ray.

In March 2007 nobodyknows+ performed overseas for the first time: it took part in TOKYO NIGHT 2007 in Long Beach, California. In April one of the MC, g-ton left the group. With one member less the band released maxi-single Hero’s Come Back!! - the title song became the first opening for anime series Naruto: Shippuden. The group recorded also one more album, vulgarhythm, this year.

Later on the frequency of releasing new albums dropped. In 2008 the group recorded scarcely maxi-singles Rain and Villain's Pain (Hero's Come Back!! ~Other Side~) / Imaike Sambawhile in 2009 only album the best-of - best of nobodyknows+ and single Fallin’ (recorded together with Shigeru Brown) came out.

In 2010 the band changed its label to $TAX RECORDS. Working for the new label, nobodyknows+ released single Winds of Wins which was used by cheerleaders of the baseball team Chunichi Dragons in an event organized to thank their fans. Almost 36,000 people participated in this event.

What is more, the track FOREVER from the single Fly High recorded in 2011 was used in an advertisement of Election in prefecture Aichi – the members homeland. That year cheerleaders of Chunichi Dragons used one of nobodyknows+ songs again. In July MOOK / nobodyknows+ ~kako - ima - mirai~ came out - ‘guidebook’ about past, present and future of the band. On 31st August nobodyknows+ was one of the three groups from Nagoya, that took part in recording the charity song HOLD MY HAND (the other two were SEAMO and HOME MADE Kazoku).
