The band's two members ISAWO and NAOYUKI met during university and started their musical activities around that time. They were influenced by DAVID BOWIE and THE CURE, as well as other Japanese music. Their activity as BLACK LOVE FANTOM started in 2002 in Tokyo.

BLACK LOVE FANTOM has already become rather accomplished, collaborating with DER ZIBET, a Japanese artist that ISAWO has respected for a long time, and KEN MORIOKA (ex-Soft Ballet).

ISAWO successfully held concerts alone in Italy and Hungary in 2008. Moreover, ISAWO participated as a support keyboard player for GOTHIKA on their European tour.

BLACK LOVE FANTOM's first mini-album DEAD LOVE ALIVE came out in 2009. The album was made with Kazutoshi Yokoyama of BUCK-TICK.

Their tour, DEAD LOVE ALIVE tour in Europe, will begin in December of this year.
