m:a.ture

The history of the band began in June 2006 in Sapporo. The members are shin (ex-SHAKE IT CANDY), who took on vocals and guitar, dai (ex-THE KUNST CONSPIRACY) as sound manipulator and minato (ex-MELLO support) as drummer. ryo - whose full name is Ryousuke Akai and who became part of the band SOUND of DRUG in 2009 - got the position as support bassist.

Soon the band started with concerts and smaller side-projects. shin started the group GRID, in which musicians of Rodwell and Poitrine were involved. In May 2007, m:a.ture’s first album SCARLET was released, and it was followed by a row of concerts. In October of that year, the band had one of its early highlights when they played as opening act for the famous bands lynch. and Sadie for two consecutive days at the Sapporo KRAPS HALL. In December, a demo-single was released. That single contains a remix of a song from the first album.

In May 2008, the band's second album followed. A few days later, the band organised an event in Sapporo, to which many regional bands were invited. One of them was SONS OF NEW SCHOOL - in which former members of WERKMARE are involved. The rest of the year, as well as through 2009, the band spent on tour and as guests at several session events. In 2009, they played with another famous band: Dear Loving. Right now, the band is working on their new single, which as yet has no release date.
