TIGER JUNKIES

TIGER JUNKIES, a common punk/trash metal project by American metal musician Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust) and Japanese heavy metal bassist Yasuyuki (ABIGAIL, BARBATOS), got started in 2004. The band plays lively trash metal while central themes of their song lyrics are drugs, sex and drinking.

According to band members, their first single Sick of Tiger was recorded in Yasuyuki’s bedroom, due to lack of money. It was released as an EP by British label Destroy Records in 2006.

Their debut album D-Beat Street Rock'N'Rollers, released in January 2008, was recorded in a real studio not only in Tokyo, but also in Boston. The noisy album also included a cover of ABIGAIL’s song Satanik Metal Fucking Hell.
