BRANCH formed in July of 2005 with vocalist kamato, bassist kazuki and guitarists chaka and Kenii, all ex-ArucarD members. They employed a couple of support drummers and then Yuuhi (ex-ze零ro) as a regular drummer.

BRANCH focused their first two years on live activities rather than releases. Their first live, KING’s BRANCH Vol. 1, was on July 20, 2005 at Sendai MACANA. All summer, they kept an intense performance schedule, holding a half year anniversary live at Takadanobaba in January of 2006. In May, they were ready to start their first tour, Chicken Race; its finale was on July 20th, which marked their one year anniversary and their first one-man.

In January of 2007 BRANCH's long awaited debut release appeared: the maxi-single Sign of First. In December, they sponsored the The Jellyfish Rebellion lives to celebrate their second maxi-single Jellyfish, which came out on December 19th and was limited to 1,000 copies.

2008 was another year packed with lives and also saw another release: their third maxi-single, Cherish, which went on sale in June. The following month, for their third anniversary, BRANCH held the live KING’s BRANCH Vol. 7, again at Sendai MACANA. kazuki left the group in August 2008 and was replaced by support bassist Hisato.

A proud achievement for the group was their inclusion in J-Visual[ism], a compilation album of songs from young visual artists that have attained popularity overseas that is produced by CLJ Records in Germany.

On January 30, 2009, BRANCH held their last live, KING’s BRANCH FINAL at Takadanobaba AREA. They disbanded shortly after; however, they are purported to be returning again under a new name, so look forward to future work from these talented artists.
