Jikuu Kaizoku SEVEN SEAS formed in 2003 under the name Seven Seas with vocalist Marshal K and guitarists EITA and Prince YO-. EITA is one of the few women in the visual kei scene and her talent on guitar shows why she belongs there: in November 2005, she received a lot of attention during a performance at the German Metal Championship.

The band released their first mini-album, the self-titled Seven Seas, in June 2004. In 2006, the band changed their name to Jikuu Kaizoku SEVEN SEAS (usually abbreviated to J.SEVEN SEAS) to reflect their theme as space pirates. The mission they were given was to come to the present day to save the future of the people on earth. Bassist Tatsuhowa sho-gun also joined at this time and they released Dreams, their second mini-album.

Their first one-man was held at Shinjuku LIVE FREAK in April 2007 and the band also released another mini-album, Confusion. During March and April 2007, J.SEVEN SEAS went on a coupling tour with their label mates Uchusentai NOIZ.

Then in May, the band played at KINGDOM ROCK SHOW IN HIBIYA, a large outdoor concert. At the end of 2007, they released Parallel World. In celebration of this mini-album, the CD shop Disk Union released J.SEVEN SEAS, a story book the size of a small paperback. It was only distributed at 18 locations for a limited time.

The song Parallel World became so popular that in February 2008, it was turned into a karaoke song for the karaoke chain Premier DAM. Later in the year, the band released the album Imagination, and in December 2008 the band created their official Myspace page.

Early through 2009, J.SEVEN SEAS toured throughout Japan. However, in April, drummer Kyosatan left the band and joined Uchusentai NOIZ under his new name YAMATO. Soon after, the band announced its disbandment. Though it's uncertain what activities the other band members will move on to next, they will hopefully remain in the music scene.
