Guy's Family was composed of Kight (ex. Shulla), Reo (ex. Plu'to, ex. Clavier), Shinobu (ex. Vanilla), Kazutake (ex. Mask... ), and Takumi (ex. INCREAL). The band was created in August 2006 and a month later began performing on on stage in Kawasaki and Tokyo. Later, they performed with bands such as KuRt, Sadie, and the Pumpkin Head; they were also invited by KAMIJO and Kanoma to participate in an end of year festival. They then staged a concert on January 20, 2007 at the LIQUID ROOM Ebisu with Aki, the ex-vocalist from LAPUTA, as a special guest.

Barely known by the visual kei fans, Guy's Family's first single was sold out in a few weeks, which incited the band to ask for its republishing the following year in February. The next single, Three Piece, knew the same success, thanks notably to the contribution of Guy's Family to the stylish wave and to the CANNONBALL tour. Though the good sales of these two singles were mainly a result of their true originality; for example due to the exotic sound of the acoustic guitar (like in Kazoe Uta).

In May, they made a first solo tour while Kight was getting ready to get back on stage with his previous band Shulla for a concert at the Zepp Tokyo, on June 2nd. Before celebrating the birthday of Guy's Family on the August 18th at the LIQUID ROOM Ebisu, their third maxi-single Triple Nine was released on the same day as the second edition of Three Piece.

After a national tour, they did two days of oneman lives at Shibuya in October and released their maxi-single Voltage, which ranked directly at the third place of the Oricon Indies. They ended the year 2007 with a long tour and two festivals for that New Year's Eve.

Among those who bought VOLTAGE, a rare few had the luck to assist to their private concert on January 12th, 2008. Guy's Family did several festivals including the stylish wave CIRCUIT where they played with lynch., heidi., Irokui, SuG, to name a few.

Despite their success confirmed with ROYAL HONEY, which ranked pretty well in the Oricon Ranking, Guy's Family announced their break-up during their concert at the Shibuya O-WEST, on the 1st of May. A note from their manager was also posted on their official site stating that a best-of, Final Party, would be available on July 2nd.
