KLACK, the band which is heavily punk influenced yet feels at home in the visual kei scene, was originally formed in 2003 but started activities and picked their name the following year. The group performed their first gig on April 4th in Harajuku and their second on July 10th, which was held at an S&M club.

Later on the band was often seen at regular visual kei events, such as PS Company's TRIBAL ARIVALL or the Under Code sponsored act unlawfully. In accordance with the spirit within punk scenes, KLACK has included a lot of shocking criticism towards the society and the world, starting right from their first single release in the end of July 2004.

In November the band went ahead and released their first DVD, including an anime styled PV starring notable politicians, and interviews completely subtitled in English, which seems to be a rather rare occurrence within the Japanese visual indies scene. Though it should be noted that the band has been backed up by experienced producers, who are familiar with the promotion of shock rock groups.

On December 26th the band ended up creating a small scandal at the FOOL's MATE magazine's annual Beati-fool's Fest event, where they had chosen terrorism related material for their backing video. Both the rock magazine and TBS channel, who had been there to record the show, apologized profusely for the situation. The news was quickly picked up worldwide, by such medias as The Washington Times. Soon after the event the band's official site went down and due to a long span of silence, the masses already thought the story had ended.

Keeping a low profile, KLACK however had begun to perform again, mostly appearing at their usual place, CLUB SHINJUKU. Their homepage returned and was used in the summer to announce a tour together with a similar visualish punk band, ∀NTI FEMINISM, and the release of KLACK’s first album, NO FEELING PHIMOSIS, which was released in August 2005.

The band continued performing and in August 2007 welcomed a fifth member, drummer Hayato, to their line-up. Although not a full pause, it had been 3 years since their last release, until in the spring of 2008 new singles were finally announced. The renewed band is continuing active releasing and has performed recently in visual rock events together with bands such as RENTRER EN SOI and TOKYO MICHAEL.
