1999 was the year the band GARI established their own label, DeadstocksandwicH Records, where they released a mini-album, Flight Recorder, and single BRAIN SHOOTER. After these releases, they placed more importance in taking part in compilation albums, hosting monthly performance events, and playing live performances all over Japan, rather than their recording. Despite this new way of thinking, in 2003 they took a break from all such activities and started working on their own music once more. The next time they picked up their instruments in 2004, they started on their live performances.

Their major debut came with their album e・go・is・tick, which was also later released in France. This album was ranked 3rd in the weekly selling chart of the Tower Records store in Shibuya, and also recorded 14th in the nationwide sales chart. By September, they gave their first oneman. Over the next two years, GARI had a number of releases and regularly performed throughout Japan, including hosting PRACTICE BOUT in fall 2006.

The following year, the band toured throughout the spring and summer before traveling to France in July and performing at JAPAN EXPO. By 2008, along with their various live performances, the band re-released their album, Masked+ in France.

2009 was a busy year for GARI. Along with their normal tour schedule, the band traveled overseas to perform in Finland at Tsukicon with SINCREA, and also went to JAPAN EXPO again in France before heading home for the debut of their first album in nearly three years, TOKYO SOLDIER. By January 2010, the band saw the release of their next album, COLORFUL TALK and toured throughout the summer and the fall.

At this time, GARI has not announced their future plans for the upcoming year, but fans will surely see them grace the stage again before long.
