PEALOUT began their music career in 1994, with their first live held in Shibuya in December of the same year. Their first four songs were put into a cassette for limited distribution in 1995. In the same year, they released their first indie single, LET ME SINK IN THE DEEP REDDISH SKY, for 1,000 limited copies. Their first full album HERE, NOT SOMEWHERE was released on July 1, 1996. In 1997 they released their second album, one, and went on their second one-man tour in November. After PEALOUT released their major debut album THE UNKNOWN PLACE, they embarked on a nationwide tour, SUMMER TOUR '98 "RECYCLED TEENAGER, in July as well as another nationwide tour, RECYCLED TEENAGER RETURNS, in November.

1999 was a busy year for PEALOUT as they opened for Irish alternative rock band Ash on their Japanese tour in February and released their fourth album, LIFE GOES ON, in March. They also performed at the Fuji Rock Festival for the first time of what would be many. PEALOUT was busy again in 2000, which started the year with their TOUR '00 BURST WORLD BURST CITY in January. They then released their fifth album, Primitive evolution, in April. In June, they went on yet another nationwide tour, Excitement lock genesis evolution, that lasted from the thirteenth to the thirtieth. They also performed at the Fuji Rock Festival again in July and had another nationwide tour in December, Excitement lock genesis evolution 5000, that lasted eighteen days.

In 2001, PEALOUT released NEW AGE ADVENTURE "NO HEART ,NO TEARS" in February. In April they embarked on their NO HEART, NO TEARS 6000 tour, doing ten performances in ten cities, and the SOUL RIDERS 7000 tour in November. The next year saw PEALOUT release their seventh album WILL, and they had their first acoustic live in July. They also performed at the Fuji Rock Festival for the third year in a row. In August, they participated in The Blue Hearts tribute album. They finished off 2002 with a nationwide tour, WILL 7700, of eight performances in September.

In 2003, PEALOUT had a one-man in April at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO and another performed along side THE NEATBEATS in May at Shimo-Kitazawa CLUB251. They had another one-man at Shimo-Kitazawa CLUB QUE in June. PEALOUT played at the Fuji Rock Festival for a fourth time in July, this time on the white stage. In November, they played at the Hokkaido tour Obihiro Otani junior college campus festival and the Sapporo Bessie hall Fuji lock RSRcombination after party (co-starring Eastern youth).

In 2004, PEALOUT released their eighth album ROLLS NEVER END and had their ROLLS NEVER END TOUR in December. 2005 saw the release of their final album, PIANOMAN R & R SHAKE,SHAKE,SHAKE,SHAKES!!, much to the dismay of their fans. PEALOUT had a their second acoustic performance, UNPLUGGED DAY, in February. They also had two special instrumental concerts in April; the first, GUITAR DAY, featured mostly acoustic guitar, and PIANO DAY featured mostly piano. They went on to have another acoustic concert like the first one they had back in February,

In June, PEALOUT began their last tour, PEALOUT LAST STAND! Their last one-man performance was released on DVD along with a documentary showcasing their entire career on two discs. PEALOUT’s last performance was at the Fuji Rock Festival for the fifth straight and final year.

Currently, KONDO is concentrating on his solo work as KONDO TOMOHIRO. OKAZAKI now plays in the band BEYONDS . TAKAHASHI is active in REVERSLOW and HARISS.
