Unzu

Unzu was originally formed on March 7th, 2003 as a session band under the name of Suishoubei. The basic line-up of the band was: Yuki Sakurai (rice) on vocals, Kikasa (Shelly Trip Realize) on bass, and Taishi unofficially on guitar.

The band played its first concert on April 7th that year at the Unko Event vol.1. There were three more events organized; one for October, and two further dates in November. For each performance, the band was accompanied by different support members, including Kazuki (ex-Dué le quartz) and Yuuichi (Shulla). Three of the band's singles entitled Unzu Best 1, Best 2 and Best 3 were only available during these events.

Late February 2004 brought the release of Cannonball vol.1, an omnibus album which featured two of Unzu's songs: Pooh and Jikan to ka. Following the release, a tour was organized featuring the bands included on the album. In August of that same year though, Kikasa left Shelly Trip Realize and then later in December, created 【FIGURE:】. Combined with Yuki's involvement with rice, this caused the band to take a relatively long break, lasting from November 2004 until August 2005. However, during that period they did perform at a few events organized by TUXEDO PRODUCTION, Kikasa's label.

In late September of 2005, a new single entitled Flash★Best was released. Since then, the group has been quiet for a relatively long time, playing at only certain events such as the TUXEDO PRODUCTION shows alongside bands like 176BIZ, CELLT, Hime Ichigo, and SCREW. What more this session band has in store, fans will just have to wait patiently and see!
