NOIZ emerged in early 1999, later changing their name to Imitation PoPs Uchuu Sentai NOIZ. Soon after their start, they released Imitation Pops, a five-track demo and it wasn't until Auguest of 2001 that they released COMANDO NO.0069, their first maxi-single. Shortly after, they played a two-night one-man live at Ikebukuro Cyber.

Though the band released two more singles in 2002, their rise to fame came in 2003. They began the year by releasing e -> o and ignition. Following the release of their first album, CYBORG ROCK SHOW, they embarked on a nearly three month long tour and filled out the year with several more releases.

With their fan base growing, they went on a small tour, JAPAN TOY'S PANIC 4DAYS, and appeared at many events, including the famous visual kei event Stylish Wave and events organized by Kisaki's UNDER CODE label between November 2003 and April 2004. 2003 also saw NOIZ being included on the Shock Edge 2003 compilation album along with Doremidan, SCISSOR, Charlotte and others.

NOIZ released three new singles in 2004 before their second album, ZERO no keifu, came out on September 29th. The release of the album was followed in December by Zero no keifu Clip shuu PV collectoin VHS.

In January of 2005, the band shot their first cover for CURE magazine, followed by the release of their JAPAN TOY'S PANIC concert DVD in April. They released a new single in May and another in September before the release of EGO-style, their third album, in November. NOIZ closed out the year with a performance called cosplay DE night at Shinjuku LiveFreak for.

The band began 2006 with the release of their first book, EGO-style The Premier Issue and followed that with the re-release of their first album. In February, they made their first trek overseas for a concert they named ~the space hero comes to my town!!~, which took place in Paris, France. Their EGO-style tour kicked off in Japan on March 11th and kept the band busy until April 23rd before leading into their KING OF ONE MAN SHOW set of lives, which took them through to May 19th.

Their next tour, JAPAN TOY'S PANIC TOUR 2006 " BIG WAVE !! " started in mid-July and lasted until the end of August, but the members of NOIZ never slowed down. September started a busy release schedule consisting of thirteen singles within one month, following the band's second overseas appearance, this time at the Pacific Media Expo in Los Angeles, USA at the end of October. With a successful end to the year, they kicked off 2007 with the release of a six disc concert DVD box and the announcement of the upcoming inception of their fan club. They also changed their name again, to just Uchusentai NOIZ.

Though the band started 2007 year on a rather quiet note, with the release of one new single, White Canvas, they later announced the release of a new album, Terra, which came out on September 5th. In December, NOIZ released a live DVD containing their July 5th JAPAN TOY'S PANIC 2007 KING OF ONE MAN SHOW ~BAD MUSIC FREAKS~ LIVE concert at SHIBUYA-AX and it wasn't until June of 2008 that the band released their next single, Magical Dive, followed in August by Sentimental Drop Kick.

Their fifth album, CUBE came out days before NOIZ shared the stage with SEX MACHINEGUNS on October 13th as part of the veteran band's Tenka ichi budou kari tour. To promote the release of CUBE, NOIZ went on their own tour, KING OF ONEMAN SHOW "CUBE" from November 9th to December 15th.

The band released a PV compilation, Clip Shuu E-t-c just a little over a month prior to announcing that they would be going major. Their last indie live before going major with Universal Music's Delicious Deli Records sub-label was held on March 22, 2009 at C.C. Lemon Hall. March also marked the release of a compilation album containing songs from the band's debut in 2003 through their most recent release.

Following NOIZ's final indie show, S@TT-ON and TAKEswiy departed from the band.

Thankfully, the band kept going strong and, on May 20th, released their latest single, Brand New World. Just days later the band, along with its two new members, guitarist Kotarou and drummer YAMATO, made their second appearance in the USA as guests of Animazement in Raleigh, North Carolina where they performed two live concerts.

Though no announcements have been made regarding the band's plans now that they have returned to Japan, NOIZ is sure to continue to surprise and excite fans across the globe with their otherworldly brand of music.
