BLAM HONEY was formed in 1995 by founding members, Ryonai and Tatsuya. Through the duration of the band, they maintained the band's only members. Tatsuya was the band's vocalist and guitarist, while Ryonai was responsible for programming and synthetic guitar. They both shared the creation of the percussion elements.

The band grew quite popular among their fans and had many successful lives in their career, even releasing the nine-track album, Typical Ingeniousness -suggest- on the major label Nippon Crown in 1999. Unfortunately, that would be BLAM HONEY's last release, as the band split in 2001.

Ryonai was involved in a side project called Suppurate System, where he designed Gothic Lolita clothes along with writing music. He released two singles before deciding to focus on fashion design. Other Jrock artists, such as Mana of Malice Mizer and Kaoru of Dir en grey, have been known to wear some of Suppurate System's designs.

On June 1, 2004, Tatsuya passed away from acute leukemia. Exactly four years later on the anniversary of his passing, June 1, 2008, Ryonai reopened the official BLAM HONEY homepage. He updated with a notice to fans that he planned to resume activities of the band to carry out Tatsuya's intentions for Blam Honey. Shortly thereafter, Ryonai posted an advertisement looking for remix musicians for an upcoming BLAM HONEY memorial album as well as fan art of Ryonai and Tatsuya.

On July 12, 2009, BLAM HONEY held a revival event and released a special memorial CD. Ryonai confirmed a new vocalist had been selected, and unveiled Hyugo at the Darkest Fest 2010. The new duo did not last long however, with Hyugo departing just after two months. BLAM HONEY has since been continuing with Ryonai and guest support members, with their most recent live in November 2010.

In December, all activity went silent when Ryonai underwent a surgery to excise tissue around his eyes. His surgery was successful and he was back in action by January with a BLAM HONEY site renewal.

While Ryonai has released two songs under the name BLAM HONEY and BLAMHONEY -RYONAI:Recall Project- on various artists CDs with the most recent being in February of 2011, there has been no other official releases. On April 18th, Ryonai released a free download of the vocal-less track Disturbs-waves via the sound-sharing website SOUNDCLOUD.

Along with his current work on BLAM HONEY Ryonai is the live keyboardist for GPKism.
